After 30 years of owning and running this newsagency the owners have decided to retire.

With over 1,200 members it's no wonder they buy so well, and this model of business really suits Sylvania Heights local community strip shopping centre especially when it's located next door to a pharmacy and around the corner (50-100 metres away) from the Local Public School.
The owners' figures show that the convenience products are the fastest growing section within the store and with basic newsagency lines of Stationery, Magazines Newspapers, Cards, Gifts and Toys the Gross Profit is equal to the Lott nett of $100k p.a. taking the total Gross Profit to just on $200k p.a. With a rental of $760 per week the occupancy cost to Gross Profit earned is just 20% or 10% of the nett turnover. Essentially this is a self - service store (except for the Lott) and does not need more than one staff at a time. For this reason, we have left the wages out of the equation so the new owners can work out the hours and wages to suit them.
